Singapore, December 22 (FYP) - Senior Minister Lee Kuan Yew said "Attack on S'pore [is] a serious matter." After winning three consecutive huge and devastating libel suits against IHT. S'pore is forming the Ministry of Protection Against Defamation (MPAD). The spokewoman said "We see it as a very lucrative enterprise similar to the COE scheme. The best part is that we also get the money from those angmos." She also said that S'poreans are too proud, too righteous and too kiasu to be criticized. "If anyone want to criticize us, they have to pay for the consequences." Asked if she thinks criticizing other countries is ok, she responded with "attacking US is fine because it's so easy and it's so much fun. They don't have a reputation to defend. But attacking our beloved S'pore is another matter all together." Asked if whether she believed in "dynastic politics and business practices in S'pore", she replied no but "I would love to bear children for any offsprings of LKY because they have great genes and they always have great merits."
The spokeswoman was sacked and sued by the MPAD immediately after the new conference. No further comment by this particular newspaper.
Singapore, December 26 (SEC) - "Merry Christmas! We are here to confiscate your computer equipment!" Mr. Ah Benh Wah of Ang Mo Kio woke up Monday and found officers from MPAD at his HDB flat door step. "I was surprised to see them. I just posted an article on s.c.s. a few hours ago." The MPAD is moving aggressively to crack down any defamation postings on the information highway. All internet providers in S'pore has been sued by the MPAD to control their "pollution" to the internet. SingNet has declared a policy that only people above age of 25 be allowed to surf on the internet. They also have to be proven to be loyal to PAP. Technet, as of today, refuses to budge. Its director, Mr. Yeo, defended Technet quoting Mr Y.Y. Wong, chairman of the Wywy group, "It's pointless to try to shelter S'poreans from the seemingly dangerous outer lanes of the information superhighway." He continued "When there is greater freedom, personal responsibility increases at the same rate. If that is not so, then society is going to be retarded."

The newsgroup s.c.s. will become a moderated newsgroup as of today. Over the past few months, a group of S'poreans, backed by the Young PAP and MPAD, have taken the initiative to change s.c.s. from a free forum to a moderated newsgroup. The moderator, Lee Kuan Wew, said "It shows that democracy can work in cyberspace. I will do my best to ensure freedom is achieved through my moderation. Death to those polluters of the information age."
