SSG Seminar Abstract

Work in progress on multi-view stereo person tracking: from body trajectories to face pose

Trevor Darrell
Professor, MIT AI Lab

Perceptual context for "pervasive computing" applications should include cues such as the location and pose of users in an environment. Stereo tracking from multiple views can provide comprehensive visual awareness. I'll overview research in progress on the use of multiple view methods for tracking and recognizing people moving in a room, and tracking rigid face motion.
